Kelli Owen
National Community Engagement Coordinator
NIKTT - National Indigenous Kidney Transplantation Taskforce
Quite simply, Kelli Owen is a powerhouse. Her personal journey through kidney disease is inspiring. But even this pales beside her passion and commitment to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Australia in her fight against kidney disease, and for dignity and empowerment for her people. She is dynamic, creative, caring and intelligent and it is exciting to see what she will achieve. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the country will benefit from her tireless efforts. It's impossible to work alongside Kelli and not to come away with new perspectives, knowledge and insights into the power and resilience of Aboriginal culture, and particularly, strong Aboriginal women.
