Marilynn Ross

Marilynn Ross is well recognised for her contribution to the identification of, and safe response to, human trafficking and modern slavery. Her ground-breaking awareness-raising and the development of the "Look a little deeper" program, which is ready to be rolled out to police and other organisations who respond to victim-survivors across Australia, will enhance policing practices. Australia's Institute of Criminology estimates there were 1300-1900 human trafficking victims in Australia in 2015/16 and 2016/17. Without doubt, Marilynn's training work and her connection with key stakeholders has built the efficacy of countless organisations - to protect, prevent and support.
