As CEO of Indigenous Allied Health Australia and in her commitment to nation building, Wiradjuri and Wonnarua woman Donna Murray demonstrates innovation and collaboration to influence change. Under her strong leadership, IAHA has, for example, established a National Academy to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people engage with their schooling and begin a pathway into careers in health. This new model of education delivery, centred on culture and holistic support, has demonstrated its impact on the lives of students and their families. This has been recognised nationally, including as a recommendation in the National Rural Health Commissioner’s report.
