Sonja Hood is the CEO of Community Hubs Australia. She leads a national multi-sector partnership to engage migrant women and preschool children through place-based hubs, with a focus on school readiness, English Language, and job training. Previously she was general manager of community engagement at the North Melbourne Football Club, heading up The Huddle to engage culturally diverse young people through education and sport.

Sonja has over 20 years of social policy and program experience in the US, UK and Australia, a PhD from the University of Melbourne in population health, and a Master’s degree from Penn State in policy.
