Megan is a serial social entrepreneur. Following the diagnosis of her two children with Sanfilippo syndrome, she established the Sanfilippo Children’s Foundation driving over $9m into research for this little known and poorly understood genetic condition. But Megan didn't stop there. Seeing a need to tackle research into these rare diseases in a different way, she went on to setup the newly established Childhood Dementia Initiative. Childhood Dementia is caused by over 70 rare genetic conditions - most of which have no meaningful treatment. Megan has turned her personal tragedy into good and inspires attention and action into these rare disorders.
