“We need to build a strong community where people with autism are engaged, challenged and motivated so that we continue to encourage and teach them skills for a meaningful and happy life.”
Following my son’s autism diagnosis in 1999, I embarked on a life-long journey, my hunger to absorb and discover ways to support my son grew into a passion and sense of duty to support others on the same journey. As co-founder and chairperson of Autism West, my passion has driven me to work towards creating innovative opportunities for people affected by Autism, celebrating their unique skills and attributes.
